Konami has kept pretty quiet about Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment ever since it was announced back in April. That changes today as Konami has released new screenshots and a features list for the upcoming tactical RPG.

Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment serves as a prequel to the original Vandal Hearts. It follows the story of Tobias Martin and his comrades as they enlist to fight for peace and revenge in the war-torn continent of Sostegaria. In their way is an unstoppable warrior who wields the almighty Flames of Judgment.

The game features streamlined and expanded gameplay, improved user mechanics and better graphics. There will also be multiple endings and a deeper range of customization options compared to the original. Additionally, Flames of Judgment will feature 20 playable maps.

Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment was originally announced to be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace in August and the PlayStation Store in September, but this latest press release contained no further release info apart from a Winter 2009 date.
