Irrational Games no more: introducing 2K Boston, 2K Australia - Image 1

Looks like Take-Two Interactive is moving some chess pieces for a formal announcement of something big soon. Big in the sense of moving corporate squares, perhaps.

A recent trademark filing from T2 was recently spotted - one for an "Irrational Boston". You don't have to look far to assume what it could possibly be.

Back in 2007, the Irrational Games studio under T2 was broken down into two sub-arms: 2K Boston and 2K Australia. This would have been towards the end of BioShock's development cycle.

It could be that this Irrational Boston would be either a rename, sub-studio, or sister-studio to what we now know as 2K Boston.

Meanwhile, Take-Two still hasn't responded to this trademark when asked. We'll have to wait for further confirmation of what their plans are - and more importantly what game(s) this "Irrational Boston" would eventually handle.
