Ryu Hayabusa - Image 1Action game fans on the Microsoft Xbox 360, hold on to your seats. Tecmo and Team Ninja have just announced that their latest offering Ninja Gaiden 2 has just gone gold and will be hitting stores in North America as scheduled. June 3 marks the date when Ryu Hayabusa will come back for sweet revenge.

Developed from the ground up using a new game engine, Ninja Gaiden 2 will sport better visuals and a revamped combat system. A new auto-health regeneration system, levels, adventures, and enemies have been promised by series creator Tomonobu Itagaki.

Ninja Gaiden 2 tells the tale of master ninja Ryu Hayabusa who seeks revenge for the destruction of his Dragon clan at the hands of supernatural fiends. Armed with his Dragon Sword and a wide array of deadly skills, he will take on hordes of enemies who dare stand in his path towards retribution.

Other fun events related to the game are happening, too. This includes the Ask a Ninja episodes happening on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Here, players can learn more about the game from the devs themselves by throwing inquiries which have long bothered them. The next ones drop on May 27th, June 3rd, and June 10th so be sure to catch them.

Another fun extra is GamePlay HD's "The Way of the Warrior: Ninja Gaiden 2," which is a documentary on how the rich history of ninjas ultimately shaped the game as we know it. As Team Ninja puts it, this short feature will "awaken the inner ninja" in everyone.

Ninja Gaiden 2 can be bought at the suggested retail cost of US$ 59.99. This one, of course, is exclusive to to the Xbox 360.
