I understand that you are currently having issues with the requirements for Burnout Paradise. I apologize for your situation, and the inconvenience that this causes you. The hard drive is needed to store temporary data when playing online as the data transferred from one console to another requires storage space greater than what the memory card can contain. |

This only applies to the maybe 5 people that were "casual" enough to think they didn't need a hard-drive but were also "hardcore" enough to pay for a gold subscription.
Most of the people out there buying the arcade version probably aren't avid online gamers. At least I wouldn't think.
Either way though, it is certianly lame that they didn't warn them with a label on the box.
If you actually cared to speak in facts instead of ignorant conjecture, you'd know there's thousands of core and a few arcade units still out there.
Contrary to MS hype, everyone isn't on Live and everyone who bought the cheaper Core system never got a hard drive.
I love fanboys! Never a fact to be gleaned from their conversation.
Well, I bought an arcade bundle because I figured the 256mb memory card was plenty for saves and also I thought it was shenanigans to pay ~$80 more for a friggin 20gig hdd(Until I realized I needed it for BC).
I didn't know something like this Burnout thing would happen considering Microsoft's seeming dedication to pleasing every one of their customers, but it was really bound to happen, and probably will happen more as games get crazier. Not that I care in this instance because I'm getting a PS3 copy.
But this makes me less regretful for accidentally winning a used hdd on ebay... I guess....
I no damn well there are many core systems out there. I'm no fool.
All I'm saying is that the same demographic of people who didn't wan't to pay extra for a hard drive are for the most part the same group refusing to pay for gold.
I'm no fanboy, I've got a PS3 also. PS3 is the one I bought Burnout for anyways.
Jin Wu, can you explain to me how what he said made him a fanboy AT ALL? He wasn't bashing on a console, or any people in specific. So please use your terminology correctly
it states this on the back of the box.
if you blindly buy products that is what happens.
MS said no game will require you to download anything to your HDD that includes everything and thats what i expect. ooo one more thing you got to add and make a must to size up the PS3 MS. you got the software war won for now MS but the PS3 is the best hardware around and when ever the AAA known series exclusives come into play not new editions like HS and uncharted then the real battle will begin. ha MS said 360 is the new PS2 haha. watch the excuse... well the core wasnt made for the ideal online player therefore this problem was unscen.e
Sucks for you Core and Arcade users, although those models suck why get those pieces of $hit. Get a premium or pro or whatever its called.
I guess its as the saying goes, you get what you paid for, and people who don't look on the box before buying are stupid. For all you know you could be getting a piece of $hit but you paid full price.
Anyway i already have the PS3 version which doesn't have any problems and im enjoying the good life...haha
Some people just too damn poor at the moment thanks to gas prices and food prices now days.
I was thinking about getting a acarde but ***** I gotta rack up 150 bucks more.
