No sign of Final Fantasy XIII: Square Enix unveils game line-up for E3 2008 - Image 1It appears that Square Enix is not one to be outdone by Capcom's previously announced E3 lineup. The company has released their own press wire detailing their games that will be on display at the event, with Star Ocean titles in ample supply. Square further indicated that Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest, Infinite Undiscovery, and Song Summoner in particular will have their own playable kiosks. Topping this lineup is Taito Corporation, which plans to feature EXIT DS and The Legend of Kage 2 for the DS.

As some of the readers may have noticed, Final Fantasy XIII is nowhere in the list. This is a little strange given that a Square rep previously hinted that it's expected to make an appearance at the upcoming expo. With just a few days to go, perhaps the best course of action is to wait and see.

On the positive side, it appears that Square has plans to port both First Departure and The Second Evolution into English after all. That's all the information we've got for the moment - drop by again in case of any further updates.

I for one hardly believe the game exists anymore. It would be easier for Square-Enix to show a finished version of Duke Nukem Forever than it would to show in-game footage of FFXIII.

I'm not disappointed. There's still other great SQUARE ENIX games.

The Last Remnant
Star Ocean: The Last Hope
Infinite Undiscovery
Star Ocean's First Departure and Second Evolution

Assuming of course that you own both an Xbox 360 and a PSP, which may be a stretch if you're a fan waiting for FFXIII.

Even just having any interest in Star Ocean at all could be a stretch, as I for one, as a major FF fan, think the Star Ocean series is junk.

If you don't have an Xbox, like myself, The Last Remnant is nowhere on the radar and Infinite Undiscovery (although good looking), doesnt do me much good.

» FFXIII will not be a PS3 exclusive

anyone wanna bet me on that statement?

I must say I am really disappointed. Most of the games on that list were not even announced when the last trailer for FFXIII came out. WTF Squeenix...I'm been losing a lot of respect during the time I've spent waiting after XII came out.

This is my number 1 most wanted game!

   Re: skidz - 2008-07-09
 » care not.

They haven't made a decent Final Fantasy game since VIII. XII was decent.

I hate when people state there opinions as facts. I personally love IX. Not to mention you just contradicted yourself in one sentence. That's lame, in my opinion.

 » huh?

What makes you think he was trying to state fact? He says he doesn't care about it being exclusive and stated the reason for saying so.

 »  FFXIII WILL BE a PS3 exclusive

 » Totally Agree

The 360 Doesnt Move In Japan Like It Does In The US. I Kinda Want Sony and Other Companies To Bring Some Of Their Japan Only Games To America
