Hothead Games has announced that Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One has reached gold status for the Windows, Mac, and Linux versions of the game and will be ready for distribution later in the quarter.

For those who haven't heard of this game, Penny Arcade Adventures is an episodic RPG-slash-adventure game where you join Gabe and Tycho on cases as part of the Startling Developments Detective Agency of New Arcadia. It is your task to find out what dangers lurk in New Arcadia and defeat them to restore peace and order to the troubled city.

The game is planned for digital download through the Greenhouse digital distribution service later this quarter and will retail for US$ 19.95. An Xbox Live Arcade version for the Xbox 360 will also be made available later on and will cost 1600 Microsoft Points.
