Banjo Kazooie - Image 1Here's an interesting tidbit of information that we found in Rareware's "Scribes" page: The famed developers hinted that the upcoming Banjo Kazooie title for the Microsoft Xbox 360 won't be a platformer.

In the Scribes' usual question and answer session, it was noted by a Rare rep that "Banjo won't be a shooter (unless we sell no copies like Ghoulies and out of desperation give him a gun for the next game) but it also won't be a traditional platformer."

Rare adds "we somewhat grandly like to think that it will be a different take on the genre. Some would say a brave gamble but I'm confident it's the right decision."

Pretty amusing stuff, if you ask us. Banjo Kazooie has built a nice reputation for itself ever since its Nintendo 64 breakout, and we'd love nothing more than to see it rock again. We'll update you as soon as new word hits.

I hope rare doesn't do something stupid like make it a hack and slash or something like that, I loved the classic banjo-kazooie games

Since Rare has been owned by Microsoft, everything has been crap.
So this new thing probably will be aswell.
I'll probably still buy it though :P
