Sumthing Digital is offering something creepy-groovy for all you Resident Evil 5 (Xbox 360 and  PS3) fans out there. For US$ 9.99, you can avail of a 3-CD set of the game's original soundtrack. Considering that you're getting three CDs - which also happen to include other classics - that's a steal deal, for sure.

Remember the Chris and Sheva figures from last month? Those were unbelievably detailed. This time, the Hong Kong-based toysmiths of Hot Toys pulled the veil off their third collectible toy from Resident Evil 5 (Xbox 360 and  PS3), and he's someone we know all too well, dating back to his infamy in the very first Resident Evil - Albert Wesker.

Brain food! While you're busy trying to avoid getting crunched by hordes of Majini, Capcom's busy crunching Resident Evil 5 sales figures by the hundreds of thousands: well, one and a half million, to be exact. Yes, the NPD software sales figures for the month of March have already been released, and in that report, we find RE5 on the Xbox 360 and  PS3 bringing home the bacon (and the meat, and the brains, and the guts...). The sizes of Capcom's multiplayer mode DLC for Resident Evil 5 raised a few eyebrows when they were released. The files' small sizes - 1.8MB for the Xbox 360 version and a mere 351KB for the PS3 version - had quite a few gamers calling shenanigans (Rabble Rabble Rabble!).

We got an email from Capcom announcing today's launch of Resident Evil 5's Versus DLC for both the PS3 and Xbox 360. The new mode is going for 400 MS Points on XBL and US$ 4.99 on PSN. (If you got a problem with that, we already know what Capcom's got to say to all the haters.)

As some of you might have noticed already, there's a new patch out for Resident Evil 5 (360, PS3). No one seems to know what this patch specifically does, however some people are already pointing out that the PS3 version (after patch installation) finally shows the ten additional Trophies linked to the upcoming Versus DLC. Could this mean the new DLC will go live on PSN and XBL soon?

Looks like we should enjoy the latest RE game (or previous others too) for all that it's worth - it's going to be a looong wait for the next one. Considering that Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi previously said that the next installment in the Resident Evil franchise would be a reboot, the next installment may be a ways off. RE5 producer Masachika Kawata honestly stated that the next installment for RE may be quite a ways off, any time within four to eight years!

The DLC pack that enables versus mode for Resident Evil 5 apparently had a release date for Japan, which really doesn't matter now because it's been delayed. And you know what happens if something gets delayed in Japan. Everyone else has to wait even longer.

So the latest NPD results are out. Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg got a head start and already snuck in some stink bombs on the arena. Well, today, we get to hear more reactions on February's sales figures, this time from Sony, Nintendo, and (again) Microsoft. This via Gamespot.

How many Resident Evil games have there been now? Around eight in the main series and countless others in spin-offs, yeah? Better prepare yourself. Capcom says that all of that was only just "act one" of the Resident Evil saga.
