Who's the king of the Xbox Live hill, ey? Well, you might have been able to rake in enough Achievements to drown yourself silly in gamerscore glory, but do you get anything more out of it? The rumor about Achievement rewards was reported last week and now, we've got confirmation from Microsoft. They've teamed up with Old Spice to bring Xbox gamers the first challenge in the Xbox Rewards program.

Participation in the challenges will depend on your current gamerscore. The higher your gamerscore, the higher your level. Now, depending on your level, you'd be eligible for different kinds of rewards.

For the first challenge, you'll have to register in the Xbox Rewards program (starting Feb 12) and join the Old Spice Experience Challenge. Complete the challenge of increasing your Gamerscore by 1,500 or more before April 12 and here's what you can get:
  • Level 1 (0 – 4,999 annual Gamerscore): Contra XBLA, Level 1 gamer picture, and bump up to Level 2
  • Level 2 (5,000 – 9,999 annual Gamerscore): Contra XBLA, Level 2 gamer picture, 100 Microsoft Points, and bump up to Level 3
  • Level 3 (over 10,000 annual Gamerscore): Contra XBLA, Level 3 gamer picture, 200 Microsoft Points, Old Spice shirt, and a copy of Fuzion Frenzy 2.
Note that some of the rewards here are only limited in supply and will only be given to the first couple of over-achievers who complete the challenge first. For more details on registry, click the "Read" link below!

I already have 30,000 Gamerscore so I'm level three, and all I have to do is get 1500 more points in two months to get a $50 game for free? As Darth Vader would say, all too easy.

To the guy above me, don't worry bud, if it's successful here it'll come to the UK without a doubt. Same for Canada

Maybe I should've waited a bit before renting FNR3. That was the easiest 1000 points I've got yet.

I'm not an achievement whore by any stretch of the imagination, but 1500 by April 12th is child's play considering a few of the games that are supposed to be released before then.
