Sonic Youth, alternative rock band - Image 1A new set of master tracks for Harmonix's and Activision's Rock Band will be making its way on the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store next week. Starting May 13, musically inclined gamers can rock out to the tunes of Blondie's "Hanging on the Telephone", The Clash's "Train in Vain", and Sonic Youth's "Kool Thing".

The upcoming downloadable content will be priced at US$ 1.99 a pop (or 160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360 users), so make sure you've got the cash to spare should any of these songs tickle your fancy. The Xbox 360 version of the songs will be available this May 13, with a follow up release for PlayStation 3 users on May 15.

All in all, it's another rocking download feature from the people at Harmonix. As always, please make sure to drop by again next week for another daily dose of Rock Band (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii) updates.
