Xbox360 and gamesMicrosoft have today announced that they will continue to spread their budget Platinum Collection across the world as they lower the cost of next-generation gaming in Japan. They announced the Platinum Collection in Japan for Xbox 360 titles, with the collection launching on November 2 this year.

Never missing an opportunity, Japanese gamers will see 5 titles in the Platinum Collection on launch day for the program including Need for Speed Most Wanted, Rumble Roses XX, Every Party, Project Gotham Racing 3 and Ninety-Nine Nights.

Here's the all-important part: the price. Japanese gamers will have to find 2800 Yen, approximately $23 for the budget games, so start saving now. With titles this cheap, you could buy all five games on the day (If you live in Japan that is).

This much we know. Rumble Roses XX is a certifiable hit (especially in Japan where it peaked at #1). What we don’t know is why people are buying it. Is it because it’s such an exciting game? Or maybe they bought it for the “something else.” Rumble Roses XX features unlockable costumes and play dress-up with the wrestling babes. The Rumble Roses closet includes schoolgirl uniforms (which made a superstar out of Britney Spears) and swimsuits that would make Playboy Playmates blush. Or maybe not. Gamers (assuming they actually play the game) can adjust muscle tones and body shapes, including breast size.

In the photo shoot mode, one or a pair of characters can be made to pose and snapshots taken from various angles. The photos can be traded with other people online. “In the end, Rumble Roses XX is another merely decent wrestling game that could have been a lot better had the focus been on the gameplay, and not on its more sordid elements,” said Gamespot. Wait till you see Rumble Roses Triple X.

After what appeared to be an excruciatingly slow start, Microsoft's Xbox 360 sales gained momentum in the traditionally unfriendly (to American technology, that is) Japanese market. The next-gen console sold 3,258 units this week from around 1,000 units last week. Analysts credit the canvass catfighters of Rumble Roses XX (which debuted at #1 over there) for the growing interest in the Xbox 360. Who can blame them? Sweaty ladies in sexy outfits body slamming each other could melt the polar ice cap if they wanted to. Microsoft announced a renewed committment to the Xbox 360 platform this week with exclusive games and new offerings for the Xbox Live Arcade including a limited edition FIFA version of the Xbox 360 in Japan later this month.

Our Ladies of Perpetual Action aren't exactly helpless but these Rumble Roses XX hints will come in handy. (Not for them, for you.)

Girl Partner
When selecting a match partner, characters with histories (good or bad) will have something to say on the character select menu when you select the portrait but before you you confirm superstar status and color. Use the pre-match tag screens (exhibition is best) to determine the viability of the coupling. Wrestlers shaking their heads are a bad sign.

Unlock Swimwear
Swimwear can be unlocked in the shop by winning a few normal matches while your fighter is wearing her swimwear costume (one slot left of the default costume). Unlock the swimwear option by playing (and winning) at least one Queen's Match. You cannot purchase the swimwear of your fighter (you already have it), but it will be available for the other fighters in their shop.

Costume Clues
The shop's locked costumes can be unlocked by fulfilling the various conditions hinted at in the text box. Some conditions include holding onto titles, winning over certain opponents, or simply spending time in other modes.

Pump Her Up
Winning any type of match increases your fighter's ability to be customized in body (appearance) and muscle (performance). Increasing muscle stats will increase the damage you do, and reduce the damage taken. Only the normal fighter may be customized; superstars are played as designed.

Unlockable: Maid Costume
From the Locker Room, go to the photo shoot mode with all of the characters. It will unlock and become available in the shop under Edit Costume.

Popularity Is Everything
Increasing your popularity depends on your wrestler type. Good fighters (all on the top row) have blue popularity meters and they increase in popularity as you engage in (and win) normal matches. Bad fighters (all on the bottom row) have red popularity meters and do not experience changes in popularity in normal (pinfall) matches. Bad fighters increase their popularity in the Street Fight mode (next to the Locker Room icon).

Rumble Roses XX attempts to reinvent the fighting genre by having scantily clad women go at it. It's obvious that this game attempts to draw in lonely 360 owners by creating a game as close to pornography as you can get. The author made a special note in saying that the gameplay was shallow and a complete lack of fun. Still, there are plenty of people out there who are to this kind of thing, so for those of you who have nothing better to do this Saturday night, go ahead and check out this gameplay footage.

Hey Guys and Gals Rumble Roses XX came out this week and Gamefaqs was nice enough to post the Achievements list for those not sure if they wanted to get the game to help their gamer score courtesy of llamaman2. Just like DOA4 seems that most of the achievement points are from beating the game with each character and ever more so on collecting costumes for all of the characters but at least you'll know what you have ahead of you when you start wrastlin' with these gals. Be sure to checkout the full article for details.

Konami is set to make it's Xbox 360 debut by announcing today that is has shipped Rumble Roses XX to retail stores in North America.

Rumble Roses XX is the first 'wrestling' game (ladies at that) for the Xbox 360, and is the sequel to Rumble Roses that came out early last year. Featuring more than 20 playable characters (including all the ladies from the original) and sporting such modes as tag team, battle royal, handicap match, queen's match and street fight, these wrestlers really take advantage of the graphical power of the Xbox 360.

Rumble Roses XX is rated M and has a RRP of $59.99. Go out and grab it now ... just remember not to play it in front of your girlfriend!
