I know the ps3 fanboys are searching for everything they can to make their system last longer than the dreamcast but seriously at least use something with more credibility than some random post on a forum.

So factor in Bluray, that means at least more room for things like commentary, sounds, stadiums, textures etc. EA already complained that they had run out of space on a DVD9 for Fifa.
With last generation games using alot of a DVD9, I can see why we'd easy need over a DVD9 for all the newer highdef video and sound, that stuff takes serious space.

I am looking forward to many good things in the future with my console. Have you checked the facts recently BD is overwhelming HD-DVD more and more every day. I am not preaching BD here I am just stating some obvious facts.
Just like the 360 still has not reached it's full potential yet the PS3 is also still miles away. I will not even try to spew percentages and figures because I think that is ignorant and unquantifiable because you are talking about theoretical limits. But I will tell you that for a fact neither console has reached it's limit yet.
These PS3 games are 1st generation on a console that is admittedly more difficult to program for. The learning curve is much greater and truly good games will take some time to make. Make no mistake about it though the PS3 will get some great games particularly after the studios master how to program for it. This is not an excuse it is a fact.
BTW, cancer is just one of the many things that folding@home is trying to cure. Alzheimer's, Cystic Fibrosis, Huntington's, Parkinson's, BSE, and cancer are all things that folding is working to cure.

Ponder this for a second. How many 360 Elites are selling vs. the number of PS3's. The gap is not be nearly as large.
BTW, it doesn't require a degree in nuclear physics to understand why the Wii, given it's unique gameplay and much lower price, would sell more than BOTH of the more expensive consoles. Right now at least! HDTV in the majority of households is still not here. But as the market gets flooded with more and more expensive HDTV's the PS3 will begin to look like a more affordable purchase next to those expensive sets. Many of which will by then be HDMI and HDCP compliant with 1080p resolution. Have you seen how many 1080p sets are on the market already. Prices are dropping by the month. Soon the truth will start to be realized. Until then, have fun with your XBOX, it's a cool machine. It's just not the one that I want. Nor will I waste my time crying about how much I hate it and how much it sucks.

a bigger disc size can also do the same thing a larger hard drive does for you... you clump all the material into chucks and it reads faster than if the material is clumped all around the disk. the same amount of data on a full dvd could be placed on a 30% or so sized pie chunk
