Saints RowIf you have played Saints Row over Xbox Live, you must have noticed some problems. Extreme lag, slow matchmaking, bad choices for random ranked matchmade games, and people using exploits.

Fortunately, the developers of Saints Row have addressed this issue with a new upcoming patch. More stable online gameplay and better matchmaking await! Here's what the development team listed to be fixed:

  • Improvements to the way the game handles packet loss and bandwidth management between players. This will address the issues commonly cited as “lag”, and general synchronization problems between the players’ clients (vehicles/players warping around, etc).
  • The system for rating a player’s quality-of-service has been improved, and made less conservative. This means you’ll see many more matches with 10-12 player limits.
  • Fix for the “clothes stealing” exploit in multiplayer
  • Fix for widescreen formatting issues in certain resolutions
  • Changes to Matchmaking phase, to get players in the game faster
And that's only online! Various unmentioned offline fixes will be handled as well.

The Saints Row developers have a forum where you can talk to them, discuss problems, and report bugs. With this forum, patches can be created more quickly and efficiently. With the game having only been out for three days, a patch this quickly is almost too good to be true! Now, if only we could get a patch for the size of that text in Dead Rising...

If you can get a good host the online is good, but way too often it'll be sh*t and sometimes the lag is so bad you literally can't play it.

What sane person was actually anticipating this game just for the multiplayer? I mean, EVERYONE wanted the multiplayer, but who wanted this game JUST for the multiplayer? Single player is where it really shines, I can't put it down! It's quite possibly more fun than any GTA, don't pass up this game just because the online play is laggy at times.

» this game freezes my 360

its too much for my launch 360 to handle. same as dead rising. it locks up during gameplay and then wont reboot or freezes all the time

i guess its overheating

my 360 was fine until these new demanding games came out and seem too much to handle. its not fair.

they want $130 to repair my 360 and thats the only option i have it sucks.
