Halo 3 - Image 1

It's been a while since we last heard from the gargantuan next-gen sequel on the Microsoft Xbox 360 that is Bungie Studios' Halo 3, and in this update we get to eyeball the upcoming downloadable content that should spice up the rigmarole of shooting, slicing, gravity-hammering, and tea-bagging. Yes, it's the Heroic Map Pack for Halo 3, soon to be available on Xbox Live for 800 Microsoft points, and these are its latest screenshots.

What's good about this update is that it definitely throws the players into a completely different environment, with lots of hallways and hiding spots to be all cloak-and-dagger with when it comes to killing.  Standoff, in particular, has that Area 51 feel to it, with its giant satellite dishes and facilities that reek of some heavy duty science malarkey. Foundry and Rat's Nest are looking like pretty good, too.

The Heroic Map Pack DLC for Halo 3 will be available come December 11.

I love people that complain about DLC prices. After all, the way some people complain it's like companies are forcing you to pay that.

Besides, as rollypoly said the maps will be free before too long, all you have to do is stay out of the playlists that include the new maps.

Don't like the price? Don't pay it. No need to complain.

How bad do the originals suck?

Good enough to make you jealous enough to come in to a 360 article to have a b!tch about something that you have nothing to do with.
