Capcom - Image 1Let's face it: as great as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 controllers are for most games, fighting games may not be their cup of team. Gamers who fear worn-out thumbs or inaccurate movements can breathe a sigh of relief because there's an alternative to this scenario.

Capcom senior manager Seth Killian has confirmed that new fighting sticks and pads will be available and they will be designed specifically for use with Street Fighter 4 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360). He said Capcom is tapping the services of a hardware manufacturer to produce the accessories, but Killian didn't reveal who exactly it is.

Speculations suggest that Hori may be the chosen partner. The two companies have had a good relationship for years now and Hori has lots of experience with making accessories, especially fighting sticks. We'll keep you posted for more.

» I hope they are arcade quality stuffs

I have some so called fighting sticks for PS2 and they are all just toy-grade. X-arcade is the only thing that ever come close to a real arcade stick but I am not sure it will be as good... Of course not even X-arcade is perfect compare to some of the NeoGeo Arcade boxes.

 » nice but...

I hope they don't just make one like those 2.
They look identical. Only diff is that they stuck VF stickers on one and the other has the XBox theme.
They better not just stick SF stickers and thats that for this 1.

If they do, BOOOOO!!! to that in advance.

I wish they make them old school SF like sticks.
They are a tad bit taller and the ball bit is smaller, also the whole stick is in 1 peace. and the buttons are MUCH better. a little grooved to fit the fighers and they are VERY durable.
Very nostalgic and will most likely attract the older fans back.

 » Nice...

Capcom will most likely project Hori to design them a unique arcade stick accessory. So when SFIV releases, they can package it together just like the other top fighting games releases (Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Soul Calibur, etc...)

This is good news to me, I LOVE fighting style titles and I still haven't got a decent arcade sticks for some serious gaming.
Hopefully SFIV or SCIV will provide a competitive option.

SF is my 1st arcade game I got seriously into. Me and my bro spent like a billion bucks every afternoon on the bowling alley just to play sf2 ww. We even punched a hole on a coin and stuck a string at it and used to nick inf. credits. *so much memories...
Now days, I don't need to go anywhere to play with others. XBL will provide this service. OMG, NOW I REALLY can't wait!

LONG LIVE SF!
