Including the bonus stages revealed in Famitsu recently, Super Street Fighter IV (PS3, Xbox 360) has a grand total of four new modes. You can check 'em all out in the video below, but for those who would rather not wait for it to load all the way through, here's an overview:
  • Team Battle. Team up with your friends (or strangers) to take on all-comers in 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 formats, and more!
  • Replay Channel. Record, watch, and save matches, or watch how everyone else is playing on one of a variety of streaming match "channels"
  • Endless Battle. Play in arcade-style "winner stays, loser to the back of the line" lobbies.
  • Bonus Stages. Crush the car and smash the downpour of barrels in a test of skill against the clock.
Capcom's Seth Killian also notes that all of the online battle modes will let you watch ongoing matches while you wait for your turn. Anyway, here's the video:

» Honestly...I am tired of Street Fighter!

Where there are soo many other fighting games out there (2D and 3D) where the characters have so many moves available, it's dissapointing that Street Fighter's character have had the same 3/4 moves since SF2. Most other fighting games updates their character with new moves almost every iteration, but Ryu/Ken have only had a Dragon Punch/Fire Ball/Hurricane Kick forever. Its just annoying that Capcom seems to think that pretty graphics is all they need to change and people will just accept it.

There is no fighting game better than street fighter though.

 » tekken

tekken is more fun, i think

» ONE FIST to rule them all

and that IS Street Fighter...

if any fighting game is bad its definitely KOF I mean they HARDLY change their style every season...

and Tekken??
well ok Tekken is alright but SF is made for SKILLED players

I think what makes SF so good is the fact that they havn't changed much....

If would be annoying as hell if you had to re-learn ryu or some other character you have mastered just for the sake of it being different.

For the purists out there, the changes they have made to timing, balance and the addition of focus/EX moves, is plenty enough...

 » sf

always ends up being 2 losers sitting in opposite ends of the ring spamming hadoukens. n i never said sf was bad, i said tekken is more fun. its much more fast paced, there is a counter for everything, and there is no super ultimate moves.

   Re: Teivin - 2009-11-07

juggling someone indefinitely.
Ya. there is that. Go Tekken?

soul Calibur or DoA have more 'skill' involved than Tekken. (Sad but true. DoA even allows countering mid-juggle making the truly soul crushing juggles of Tekken pretty much impossible between good opponents.)

Tekken is good if you like button mashing, I guess. Its good for that.

BlazBlue, on the other hand, now there is an epic game.

Not having super ultimate moves is a super big drawback.

I myself never liked tekken, except for the very first one (because it was the first of it's kind, Virtua fighter doesn't count)

Also some *****s may only know how to do fireballs, but if you are half decent you can easly jump them and rock the guy in the face with a sidekick or some other move (depends on character)....

 » like i said

in tekken the fight flows (just like fighting should be) unlike sf4 where its more mechanical.
watch the difference in the 3 vids, maybe you will understand what im trying to say.

All this could have been a $10 add-on. Pass.

Pass.

You know what I will do? I buy SSFIV, open the case carefully, put my old SFIV in, carefully close it again with the film, send it back and Voila!, I have the new version.
I already tried that with other games, seems to be working.

That might be a good idea.....something that could definitely work at walmart....

 » Hmm..

Lets just hope that the Street Fighter series doesn't end up like the Mortal Kombat series...

I think you all know what I mean.

 » it won't

 » Well...

SF2 is like Chess - the familiar moves work because they're intuitive, and the fun isn't in huge amounts of complex moves, but in out-thinking your opponent.

Anyway, there's a cute new evil girl in the new game, so that'll sell itself :)
