Xbox 360 news from TGS 2007 - Image 1After releasing the three-DVD epic Blue Dragon, Hironobu Sakaguchi and Mistwalker will be once again be going the epic route with Lost Odyssey.

Sakaguchi revealed in a closed-door meeting during this year's Tokyo Game Show that the upcoming Xbox 360 RPG Lost Odyssey will span a total of four DVDs. The game itself will reportedly be around 40 to 50 hours long.

Lost Odyssey will also come with multiple language options including English and Japanese. Interestingly enough, all versions of the game will have the animations synched to the English version although it seems the UI will be in whatever language the game version is for (Japanese UI for the Japanese version, for example).

This was reportedly done since Sakaguchi wanted to show English-speaking gamers his appreciation for their support. You can check out a video of the game's TGS 2007 demo below.

 » Hey

from what i see from the normal attacking system, it kinda remind me of legend of dragoon on how you have to time your attack and see if they will succeed. I can tell that this game is going to be good.

"see, if it was on the PS3, it would sell more, there would be less manufacturing costs, and the gamer doesn't have to get off their 200+ lb asses to switch disks because this is the 7th generation of video gaming. WTF? Switching disks is SO last-last gen..."

 » Yeah...

there was absolutely no problems switching discs for blue dragon....and the game was fantastic. Still a crazy use of FMV cutscenes, but I suppose some of the things they did could not be done properly with the in-game engine (1000's of those green robots "melting" together to form the huge one) this game is probably the same......damn their epic visions :P
