A trailer for Square Enix's upcoming title The Last Remnant (PS3, Xbox 360) has emerged from the deepest depths - pardon the drama - of this year's Tokyo Game Show. You can check out the YouTube vid below.

The trailer itself runs for three minutes and is a mix of cutscenes and actual gameplay footage. It shows the game's protagonist, Rush, and the kidnapping of his sister Irina. We also get a look at some of the characters and remnants that Rush will encounter through the course of the game.

The trailer is in English with Japanese subtitles, so both non-Japanese and Japanese speakers should have no problem with it. The game is currently scheduled for a simultaneous release in North America and Japan in Spring 2008.

looks pretty cool especially the feel that your in an epic battle but, its still turn based and i wonder if those battles are random encounters.

i heard someone say this would beat FF but i dont think so. the system looks cool and maybe something that will be done in final fantasy games but the story looks strait from the cookie cutter.
