Take-Two: Bioshock 2 in the works, new games coming, more - Image 1

It's a rumor no more folks! Take-Two Interactive has officially confirmed the development of BioShock 2, and has revealed that the game is slated for a release late next year. Now with that big daddy of a news aside, let's move on to more news from T2.

Despite all this talk of a takeover from Electronic Arts, it's still business as usual for Take-Two. They've just released their financial report for the first quarter of 2008 and they're doing pretty well with a net revenue of US$ 240.4 million for the quarter.

Along with all the financial figures which essentially mean they're hunky dory, they've also announced a couple of things a lot of you might want to know. First of all, they reiterated the April 29 release date of Grand Theft Auto 4. No more delays, nosiree.

While they also re-confirmed that episodic content will be coming for the game, they only listed it for the Xbox 360. EGM earlier reported that episodic content for the PlayStation 3 version is still being considered, so we'll have to wait for more on that.

They've also announced (in case you didn't already know) the development of Mafia 2 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC), the sequel to the popular hit of the same name (without the extra digit). Here's the rest of their line-up of games for the rest of 2008:
  • Carnival Games (DS)
  • Carnival Games: Mini-Golf (Wii)
  • Don King Presents: Prizefighter (Xbox 360, Wii, DS)
  • Grand Theft Auto IV (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)
  • Grand Theft Auto IV episodic content (Xbox 360)
  • Major League Baseball 2K8 Fantasy All-Stars (DS)
  • Midnight Club: Los Angeles (Xbox 360, PS3)
  • NBA 2K9 (Multiple platforms)
  • NHL 2K9 (Multiple platforms)
  • Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution (Xbox 360, PS3, DS)
  • Top Spin 3 (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DS)
