With the embargo for IMC Interactive and Metropolis Software's They finally lifted, a few assets and info about this FPS have finally started trickling in. Today we've got a bunch of screenshots as well as the first trailer for the game for you guys to check out.

They is a sci-fi/mystery FPS set in the near future. Players will be able to see a few familiar landmarks along with evidence of a more technically advanced time. The titular - and tentacular - "They" are the bad guys. As the press pack for the game says, "Everybody wants to know what THEY are, what THEY do, where THEY come from". Players will have to waste quite a few of these guys to get some answers.

One of the more interesting aspects of the game lies in the weapons system. Players can customize their weapon according to their specifications and needs. Again, quoting from the press pack, "you will be able to store setups, so you have the expected control system with keys 1-0 to have access to different types of weapon setups – but it still will be YOUR buddy, YOUR best friend, YOUR WEAPON."

In a nutshell, players won't have to lug around ten different weapons for ten different situations. You need a shotgun right now? Press a key and you have a shotgun. Need a sniper rifle? Press another key and snipe away. Pretty interesting, to say the least.

Anyway, the assets. The screenshots and trailer are below. Enjoy.

This is kinda silly considering the very old film of the same name was about giant ants.

no...wait...that was Them I think. They was a terrible Wes Craven horror flick with shadow monsters that mark you as a child then eat you as an adult.

Bad name...cliche game.

Is it just me, or do the monsters in 'They' remind me of the monsters in Final Fantasy: Spirits Within??

I thought the exact same thing as soon as I saw it. Doesn't look too appealing, or have any appeal really.

That doesn't make a good shooter. They need alot more than weapon upgrades to make a "great" game. Onlt time will tell...
