Brutal Legend - Image 1It looks like the Activision-Vivendi merger has also affected Psychonauts creator Tim Schafer's new third-person action title, Brutal Legend.

Talking to MTV Multiplayer, Schafer said that further announcements about the game have been put on hold until after "the dust settles from this whole [Activision Blizzard] merger thing".

Those looking for updates during E3 will also be disappointed as Schafer has confirmed that Brutal Legend will be a no-show.

The Activision-Vivendi merger will be made final today, so we can probably look forward to learning more stuff about Eddie Riggs and the axe of the heavy metal gods soon. Brutal Legend is being tracked for a release this year on PS3 and Xbox 360.
