2K Sports has announced via press streams that their latest tennis sports game has gone gold and is now being mass produced. The game label says that Top Spin 3 is on track for release June 24, 2008 on the DS, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360.

Top Spin 3 is 2K Sports bid to bring realistic tennis to living room entertainment. They're banking on graphics, gameplay techniques, animations and new controls to deliver that experience than the other competing tennis titles haven't. We know that Top Spin 2 wasn't super stellar, so this should be a breath of fresh air for Top Spin fans if implemented well.

Also note that though many characters will be available in the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, the legendary set will not be arriving on the handhelds or the Wii version. But all versions will sport the robust customization features that will allow players to recreate themselves or another avatar and wean them through beating the top seeds of tennis history.
