A sequel for Assassin's Creed (360, PS3) was always expected, and hints have popped up here and there.First there was a hint from Jade Raymond herself, hinting that the sequel might feature multiplayer co-op. Then there was the time Prince of Persia's animation director let slip that we might finally see Altair swim. Now we have actual confirmation. Not very formal as far as confirmation from studios go, but we take what we can get. During Ubisoft's conference call, an executive conceded that "we are working hard on the product." That's probably more than he should have let on, and he didn't give a release date either. At the least, we know the sequel really does exist. Good news for those who loved the first game - and for those who hated it, maybe Ubisoft can win you over with this one. Related Articles:

I can see it now. Altair take your horse and ride for 30 mins to the nearest shore, then jump in with your heavy sword and swim 30 min to the nearest island and capture the flag come back give me the flag to save this noble peasant from being robbed. Got that...Batma...er...Altair?
60 dollars, please.
Of course, Jade will make me forget any of that.

» Why?
The first game sucked so why would they make a sequel? Besides, the game was too repetitive (and not in a good way like Shadow of the Colossus).

Isn't majority of games are repetitive? Especially shooters.

» stop complaining, Assassin's Creed was great.
Honestly, the game is gorgeous, fun to play, and has a good plot...
you are comkplainting because you play the same all over? I honestly think you didn't enjoy the true part of the game, which is "like GTA" a sandbox experiance in which you can do what you want (well not really).
Assassin's Creed 2 will most likely give more diversity in what you do, but I'd gladly welcome a continuation of the first.

Maybe they will "work hard" on a native PS3 version, rather than some crappy, low frame rate 360 port... doubt it though.
