Michael de Plater, Creative Director of Tom Clancy's EndWar - Image 1Ubisoft has recently opened a new developer's blog featuring its upcoming title, Tom Clancy's EndWar. Community Developer Li C. Kuo talked about some of the features this exciting new game will be packing, as well as the unique changes this new Tom Clancy video game brings to the series.

Doing away with the traditional FPS perspective from the other titles in the franchise, EndWar will feature a fast-paced RTS style of gameplay with a unique third-person camera that puts you right into the heart of the action.

To give you a better idea of the game, here are some of the highlights of EndWar's key features taken from the devblog at IGN:

  • A new Tom Clancy franchise
  • An RTS game unlike any other
  • Built “from the ground up” to be a console game
  • Revolutionary voice command system
  • Set in the year 2020
  • Features near-future weaponry based on real-world research being done today
  • Persistent-world online multiplayer battles
  • 40 battlefields set in Europe and the United States
  • Fully destructible environments
  • Massive battles with more than 1000 units
The dev blog entry ended with the introduction of the game's Creative Director Michael de Plater, who talked a little bit about his background as well as his role in the game. He and Kuo will be answering any questions gamers have for them regarding the upcoming title.
