Electronic Arts has said their piece on the Australian ban of Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360, PC), and now Valve has acted on the action too. Reports have come in that Valve has indeed appealed to the OFLC on the classification - or total absence thereof - of their zombie sequel as of Wednesday.

The announcement came along with a status update on the game's classification in 11 locations. So far, UK and New Zealand are still in the process of reviewing the game, while the PEGI, ESRB, Japan, Germany and others have stamped it with Mature ratings.
