What's this about Xbox 360 motion control? Well, apparently, a recent developer commentary for Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts hints at some kind of motion control for the game.

The statement in question, found approximately at 3:50 in the video, has creative director Ken Lobb saying that the one of Kazooie's primary functions in the game is carrying a multipurpose wrench.

Apparently, the wrench can be used to turn different devices in the game, such as a crane. Lobb elaborates, saying, "So you basically grab with the wrench and then you twist the controller around and it'll move different things in the game."

We'll still have to see if the Xbox 360 motion controller is a reality or not, but this seems like a pretty telling indication that something is happening at Microsoft, if we take Lobb's words at face value.

*UPDATE* : Ever enjoyed raining on someone's parade? We don't know if Microsoft does, but they definitely shot down hopes that a new Xbox 360 motion controller was likely to crop up at the upcoming E3 Media & Business Summit. A rep from the Redmond giant said,

There is no truth to this speculation. [Ken Lobb's] comment is in reference to rotating the left analog stick while hitting the X-button to move different things in the game.
