First came the Spartan, and then the Cimmerian - now, it's the Viking's turn to grunt, flex, and dismember his enemies in a bloody shower of death and gore with Sega's Viking: Battle for Asgard for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360. And to put things off in a good and solid start is the game's debut trailer video, featuring massive armies getting massively massacred in a massive display of domination. Let's sit back and watch the carnage, shall we?

While the game lends itself to being compared with other hack-and-slash games that feature musclebound male protagonists, Viking: Battle for Asgard does look like it would bring something new to the table, if only for the fact that the player seems to be able to command armies of his own into battle. For the moment, however, we can safely assume that the violence and graphics do look awesome, even if we're not completely sure just how it plays like.

In any case, check out the video via the embed link below. Enjoy!
