The first-ever gameplay footage for Watchmen: The End is Nigh was revealed during the VGA event. The title from Deadline Games is set for an episodic release starting March of next year on PSN, XBLA, and Steam. Yes, it's a downloadable game. And for a downloadable game, this is pretty kick-ass.

Both Rorschach and Nite Owl (the younger Nite Owl, that is - not Hollis Mason) are playables in the game - or at least, in this first episode. Here's hoping we get to control Dr. Manhattan in the future! See, the entire video game series is comprised of six episodes/chapters. It supposedly acts as a prequel to the movie.

Trailer time!

I'm on the same boat with Karl on this one. As a game, it looks like it's going to rock, but being a Watchmen fan, seeing this video game adaptation of the movie adaptation of the graphic novel sort of has "accident waiting to happen" written all over it.
