XBL down time caused by influx during Christmas weekend. - Image 1If you had problems logging on to Xbox Live last Christmas, and you were thinking that there must be something wrong with your Live account or console, then don't worry. There weren't any problems with your Microsoft Xbox 360, your ISP, or your router. It's been reported that  what caused the downtime and intermittent connection issues was the major influx of log-ins over Xbox Live from new Xbox 360 owners.

With the possibility that a lot of people bought their loved ones brand new Microsoft Xbox 360s last Christmas, a large number of new XBL accounts could've also been created. This would've presented Microsoft with the daunting task of handling all of these new accounts which could've significantly bogged down the system and led to a lot of 360 owners experiencing Live problems.

» Time for MS to update there system

It seems funny that the making the silver members wait a week for demos was done to help with bandwidth. It did not help at all. MS needs to update there system for more bandwidth, if they want more 360 owners to get online.

Now that is a lame excuse..............blame the new users.

For months MS has been telling us this will be the beast holiday season ever for games, gamers and sales.

What happened ? were they not listening to their own prophecies and forgot to add more bandwidth.......

WOW, Daunting task! Bogged down the System. Jeez I would hate to imagine if PS3 and Nintendo left the field, then again they could be bamed as MS would have to offer all them gamers a service all on their own and this would really be a "Daunting Task and Bog down the system............Hahaha.
