The backwards compatibility update that we announced yesterday has gone live today according to Major Nelson. The June 2006 update includes 21 games and 6 additional Japanese only titles. A few of the now compatible Xbox 1 titles are Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey and Star Wars: Battlefront. Hopefully Microsoft will keep working on Backwards Compatibility until they at least get my personal favorite Psychonauts to work. The full list is as follows: |

I thought the idea was that they were going to go from the most popular down the list. That was what was initially reported. People would be excited about backwards compatibility if it meant that we could play the games we want.
I second Panzer Dragoon Orta, also would like Enter the Matrix and the old Project Gothams to make an apperance. Or how about an experimental mode MS? Where we can stick any disc in and see what happens? People would have to click an accept on an agreement saying that there's no guratee that the game would work, etc, but it'd try...
Oh well, back to waiting again...

There are only 5 good games in the list: Star Wars Battlefront, Doom 3, Dreamfall, Silent Hill 4 and Lego Star wars. Spiderman, Amped 2, Fatal Frame, and Flat Out are o.k. The rest of these games are horrible and I hope Microsoft didn't put any effort into them. Bad Boys 2 is so horrible it's funny!

I haven't checked yet, havent been on live for a while. At least they got Lego Star Wars on there. I'm still waiting for Jet Set Radio Future to be added (aka jet grind radio in some countries) that game pwns and its yet another exclusive that still doesn't work.
