Microsoft: Xbox 360 gets price cut in Europe - Image 1 


A recent report from the Financial Times informed gamers that the Xbox 360 will be getting a price cut in Europe. And soon. Well, soon indeed, as Microsoft has confirmed that the price cut is definitely real, and will take effect on March 14.

Perhaps the price cut is a precursor to the rumored 60 GB SKU? Or perhaps they're prepping the market for the release of anticipated games? Grand Theft Auto 4 is just around the corner after all. At any rate, there's a price cut, and that's what matters.

Better wait a few days if you're going to buy an Xbox 360 in the near future. US gamers will have to wait on news on whether they'll be getting a price cut as well. Here are the new sexier figures:

  • Down from EUR 349.99 / GBP 249.99 / US$ 502

Xbox 360 Elite

  • Now EUR 369.99 / GBP 259.99 / US$ 523
