The Current Xbox Live Status - Image 1Xbox 360 gamers who are thinking of curling up with a nice online gaming session this holiday season may have some difficulties doing. The official Xbox website states that their Xbox Live service seems to be a little off these days, as players have been having problems going online and getting it to work for them.

In our previous report, Xbox Live Programming director Larry Hyrb (a.k.a. Major Nelson) already mentioned that this issue was already tracked down by the Operations Team and addressed, as of December 23. Yesterday, however, he had something new to add on his blog: "Problems have resurfaced. The engineers are fully engaged and actively working on this. Again, we appreciate your patience."

Word from the Operations Team has it that they are still working hard to correct the problem and will hopefully have a solution to the issue soon. Major Nelson also mentioned that he will be updating his Twitter account with any live feedback on the current status of the Live service.
