Some shareholders were apparently not too pleased when Activision and Vivendi made known their plans to form a merger, and filed an injunction suit in an attempt to stop the development in its tracks. According to a certain rumor that is floating around the Internet tubes, the Xbox 360 Spring Update will include a new secondary Dashboard interface that isn't anything like the dashboard we know and love (to some extent). Wii still maintains its lead, as well as the DS, and Niko Bellic is still on top of the food chain with the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV. And oh, what's this? The saga continues...at least, when it comes to the Electronic Arts and Take-Two Interactive take-over bid. And in this particular story, Take-Two will still play coy and refuse any advances made by EA. At least, that's what's industry analyst Michael Pachter predicts. More in the full article.

Capcom's Keiji Inafune may have had made a passing mention of Resident Evil 5 (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) for the PC in an interview, but as it turns out, no such thing will see the light of day (at least, that's how Capcom put it). Choice, an Australian consumer group, came out with a study that checks out the average power consumption of the oft-used electronic household gadgets, including consoles.
