Ace Combat 6 - Image 1It looks like Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation by Namco Bandai for the Xbox 360 managed get its mission accomplished even before the game gets released, with its demo download count going past one million on Xbox Live.

"There’s no excuse for anyone with an Xbox Live account not to have tried this demo by now, and hopefully the sheer numbers of people already taking to the skies will encourage those still in the hangar to taxi onto the runway and light ‘em up," said Atari Europe's product manager Mathieu Piau.

Indeed, there's really no excuse not to try the Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation demo like the rest of the Xbox 360 crowd. The latest installment of one of the most popular flight simulator titles to date has already gone gold, along side with other Namco Bandai title Beautiful Katamari.

We're sure most of you are counting the days before Namco Bandai's Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation hits the shelves in October, so this update may be much appreciated. We're got new eye candy for you that features more high flying and aerial action from the upcoming Xbox 360 title.

This gameplay video from Namco's Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation is... well, dizzying. In the video, we see a lot of death-dealing via missiles (the vid is aptly called Missile Strike) and of course, the explosions that follow. And if you turn you attention away from the action, you might as well admire the beautiful scenery.

We'll stop right there to avoid spoiling the whole thing for you. Check out the video and tell us if you like what you see. Enjoy!
