2K Games has now announced the Special Edition for BioShock 2 which would be the Big Daddy of all swag. It's not because it's utterly the most awesome we've ever seen, but simply because the game's got Big Daddy in it.

BioShock 2's Big Sister is a fast, armored killing machine that rules the underwater city of Rapture. This is one big sister you definitely wouldn't want to get a hug from. Get ready to put your Big Daddy suits on. 2K Games has finally announced a worldwide release date for BioShock 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC).

Something's going on under the sea, and it ain't a bunch of fish dancing around while a crab sings about how it's way better living underwater. Check out mayhem, carnage, and a surplus of exploding barrels in the BioShock 2 multiplayer trailer after the jump.

So BioShock 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) won't be arriving till 2010. No idea which part of the year, but nonetheless, it's still gonna be quite the wait for sure. The good news - and we're not promising this will compensate for the delayed release, but it's still worth a try - is that the first multiplayer trailer will finally debut this Thursday.

28 Weeks Later was good, yes? I enjoyed it. That reunion scene between husband and wife inside the lab was to die for. Really. So, if you like that kind of action, then you'd be thrilled to know that the director for that film, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, is in talks to get the film rolling for BioShock the movie, Variety reports.

In a somewhat surprising move today, Take-Two has announced that BioShock 2 (360, PS3) will be delayed and is now scheduled for release in the first half of 2010. The game, originally slated for a November 3 release in North America, will be pushed back to provide additional development time for the developers.

Five million  units sales target? That should be easy-peasy, right? If you're Take-Two and you're marketing BioShock 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC), that is. And five million it is indeed, according to T2 Chairman Strauss Zelnick.
