Electronic Arts and Double Fine Productions Inc. has announced that the first downloadable content for the heavy metal inspired third person action game Brutal Legend (PS3, Xbox 360) will be coming to PSN and Xbox LIVE this November.

Michael Pachter of Wedbush Morgan is betting on Electronic Arts' Jack Black starrer, Brutal Legend (PS3, Xbox 360) to be this holiday's sleeper hit. He was quick to qualify, however, that it's not gonna be that much of a smash hit, but a hit, nonetheless.

Brutal Legend (PS3, Xbox 360) is releasing next week, and not only can you get it for a cheaper price, you can also get it with a free US$ 10 Amazon Credit.

But for Jack Black, he walks the limelight of the red carpet wearing a different kind of name - Eddie Riggs of Brutal Legend (PS3, Xbox 360).

Now that all the legal drama with Activision has been cleared up, Brütal Legend (PS3, Xbox 360) is on course for its October Rocktober release. Before the game hits retail, gamers will be able to catch a taste of the gameplay early via a demo just announced by publisher Electronic Arts.

Brütal Legend (PS3, Xbox 360) is definitely going brutal with its soundtrack! EA Denmark has unveiled the full soundtrack list for the Jack Black video game starrer, and it's totally rocking! The list itself boasts of over 100 tracks, including from the bands Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Motorhead and Megadeath. There's no release date yet for the said soundtrack, but no question about it, it's gonna be way awesome. I expect headbangers to have their good ol' fill with this one.

If you'll remember, Activision slapped Double Fine Productions with a lawsuit concerning Brutal Legend (PS3, Xbox 360) back in June. The lawsuit cast a shadow over the game's planned October release, but now it seems everything's finally good to go.

I don't really think it's that much of a good idea to hand Jack Black a battle axe for play inside a studio. EA seemed to think it was alright though as they allowed Black to do exactly that for the latest episode of his bi-weekly video series, Brütal Thoughts. Check out the bad-ass video after the jump.

You'll recall that back in February, Activision threatened to sue Electronic Arts over Brütal Legend, to which an EA rep replied that that would be like "a husband abandoning his family and then suing after his wife meets a better looking guy."

Yeah, well, the husband actually went and sued the wife.
