With Clive Barker's Jericho's release date now upon us, we get intimate with the Jericho team one last time - and this one's about the main protagonist of Codemasters' supernatural horror FPS, Captain Devin Ross. Probably the only ordinary-looking guy on the team (except for his ridiculously awesome arm tattoos), he's the guy you'll be playing as through the entire game for the PC, Microsoft Xbox 360, and Sony PlayStation 3.

But wait a second. If he's the one we're going to be controlling, then why do the previous videos clearly show the player controlling the other members of the Jericho Squad? That's because of Devin's unique ability to possess humans - humans being his own teammates.

Near the beginning of Clive Barker's Jericho, the operation goes awry with the good captain's untimely death at the hands of a particularly ugly-looking monster. But with his power to possess the other members of the Jericho squad, Devin's spirit lives on in the hearts of his buddies. Or something. Which is entirely too bad, as his Patrioteer gun looks like it packs a massive punch, and his Psychic Healing ability looks super-handy.

In any case, check out Capt. Devin Ross in action in the video of Clive Barker's Jericho below. Enjoy!

Clive Barker's Jericho from Codemasters and Mercury Steam (PC, Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360) just right around the corner, fans and FPS fanatics are certainly getting ready for some fine blast 'em up action involving lots of guns, and lots of undead baddies. And to get us all hyped is this introductory video of the last member of the Jericho Squad, Captain Xavier Jones.

He may be the last team member to get his introduction video, but he's definitely not the least - as he sports the ability to not only see potential threats from a distance via Seer magic, but also possess enemies for a brief period of time. This lets him control the ghoulies and send them into their own self-destruction. A flaming, explosion-flavored sort of self-destruction.

Oh, and he's got this shotgun/submachine hybrid dealie of a weapon. That's cool too. Enjoy the video.

No military outfit is complete without a medic, and Father Paul Rawlings of the Jericho Squad fulfills that role in Mercury Steam and Codesmasters' Clive Barker's Jericho for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Let's get better acquainted with the man of the cloth that speaks softly, and carries two very big handguns.

In the video, we get a look at how Father Paul not only fills the role of medic - being able to revive fallen team members from a distance - but also the team's resident exorcist, able to make the ghouls and ghosts in Clive Barker's Jericho writhe in pain or explode into chunks.  And from the way he uses his weapons, he's not averse to the idea of using guns, as we see that he can pretty much handle the monstrous recoil of his dual pistols.

Check out the video below to see the good Father Paul Rawlings in action in Clive Barker's Jericho. Enjoy!

In Clive Barker's Jericho for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 from Mercury Steam and Codemasters, the player is in full command of a group of individuals bristling with firepower and special abilities. And in this video update, we get an up-close and personal look at one of those individuals, namely Corporal Simone Cole of the Jericho Squad.

What's so special about Corporal Simone Cole? It might be the fact that her visor can point out weak spots in enemies which she can easily target, and that she can hack reality. That's right. Hacking reality as we know it - and we see this in action in her intro video below.

Of course, if she could hack reality, couldn't she hack the monsters away? Probably not, but she can make reality do one thing - make time go slower for your enemies. So while they're moving in slow motion, you're pretty much free to pump lead into them without fear of retaliation. Talk about overkill.

Clive Barker's Jericho is certainly looking awesome. Enjoy!

Clive Barker's Jericho screenshots - featuring the Firstborn - Image 1Here are some new screenshots for the upcoming horror-themed FPS Clive Barker's Jericho straight from Codemasters. The game will be hitting retail stores on October 26 for platforms Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

A demo for each build of the title was recently released. Anyway, we believe that one of the most important things FPS titles should have is a good background story and Clive Barker's Jericho is certainly not lacking in that department.

The game features God's first creation before Adam and Eve, the Firstborn. These creatures are neither light nor dark and they are both terrible and beautiful to look at. God then banished them into the Abyss because of their imperfection.

Since then, a secret order has always trained seven warriors to prevent the Firstborn from escaping. This is where players come in as they step into the shoes of the leader of the Jericho Squad. Each member of the team possesses uncanny abilities such as clairvoyance, alchemy, and exorcism among others.

It was recently reported that Germany's rating board USK is not going to rate Clive Barker's Jericho meaning that it's not going to be advertised, displayed, and sold in the said country.

Clive Barker's Jericho demo is now avilable on XBLM - Image 1The demo for the Xbox 360 version of Clive Barker's Jericho is now available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The title has players controlling a few members of the Jericho squad in their attempt to find the missing members of the team.

You will be playing as the late Captain Devin Ross which, as a spirit, can possess and heal the rest of the team members. Joining you will be Delgado (a pyromancer with a mini-gun), Church (a bloodscribe with a penchant for swords), and Black (the team's sniper which has telekinetic powers).

Using each of your team's special abilities, you have to progress further into the different layers of the labyrinths and defeat the evil that dwells within. The demo itself is around 885.17 MB in size. It not available however in Xbox Live regions of Germany and Asia.

For gamers living in regions where this is available, start downloading the demo now because it's for free. Codemasters announced that the full retail copy will be out by October 26 on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the PC.

Clive Barker's Jericho - Image 1News surfaced yesterday that the USK has refused to give Codemasters' Clive Barker's Jericho (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) a rating. Without a rating, the game cannot be sold to minors and cannot be displayed or openly advertised.

In response to the USK decision, Codemasters has announced that it will not be releasing the console versions of the game in Germany. Instead, only the PC version of Clive Barker's Jericho will be released in that particular territory. Here's a snippet off Codemasters' announcement:

Codemasters respects Mr Barker's creative ideas, despite the German distribution and marketing consequences for the title. Therefore Codemasters will release only the PC version of Clive Barker's Jericho in its original form for adult gamers and Clive Barker fans.

Clive Barker's Jericho is currently scheduled for an October 26 European release. Demos for all three versions of the game are coming this week.

Clive Barker's Jericho - Image 1German site Heise Online reports of how the USK has denied giving Clive Barker's Jericho a rating. In Germany, for a game to not have a rating by the USK means that it cannot be sold to minors and isn't allowed to be put on display or openly advertised. So it's kind of like porn?

Moving on, some might remember that this is also what happened to Gears of War in the same region. And while Stranglehold got banned altogether, at least Jericho's still up for sale - albeit a bit restricted.

This affects all platform releases of the game: PC, PS3, Xbox 360. Now it's also interesting to note that Sony and Microsoft have signed contracts that they won't be releasing games if they didn't get a USK rating. Does this mean that the PS3 and 360 version won't be sold in Germany? If so, only the PC version could be made available. Made available for those over 18, to be specific.

Clive Barker's Jericho - Image 1

Avid fans of horror-themed video games should scream in delight this time: demos of Clive Barker's Jericho for the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3, and the PC will be arriving this week. The PC version will come in Wednesday, while the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 versions will go live on Thursday on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, respectively.

The demos of Clive Barker's Jericho will have gamers attempting to survive the Crusades period after their strike force has been weakened by forces controlling the Al-Khali. Players will be able to use the bodies and abilities of telekinetic sniper Lt. Abigail Black, heavy-weapons expert Sgt. Frank Delgado, and enchantress and martial weapons specialist Sgt. Billie Church. Gamers will also get a chance to look at the other creatures Clive Barker has created for Jericho.

Mercury Steam and Codemasters' Clive Barker's Jericho games are scheduled for a late October 2007 release.

Cliver Barker's Jericho - Image 1

Codemasters' Clive Barker's Jericho is to be released on the 23rd of October. And that's a simultaneous release of all its platform versions (PS3, Xbox 360, and PC). Nice. Right in time for Halloween! Now for those who own a 360 console, you guys are in luck. The Achievements for Jericho have already been listed.

There are a total number of 42 Achievements to unlock in the game - getting all of them would mean that golden prize of raking in the usual 1,000 points. Among some of the Achievements listed require you to do something specific for each of the members of the Jericho team. For example, the Lt. Abigail Black Files Achievement (10 points) is unlocked if you manage to 50 enemies using the Ghost Bullet.

Other Achievements involve doing something in a certain mode like Easy, Normal, or Hard. Now just so you know, the Achievement that gets you the most points is The First Born Portfolio. You can unlock it by killing 250 enemies using only melee attacks. Now that is tough! Better start warming up those thumbs for the upcoming release of the game. There's definitely going to be lots of pwnage here.

To see the specific list of all the Achievements, you may click the Read link below.
