This year's Penny Arcade Expo is in full swing, and our friends from Left4Friends are right in the thick of it, running the games gauntlet like marauders with a media pass. Stephen Toulouse of Microsoft's XBLA has taken to -- again, the very active social updater today - Twitter to clarify that good ol' MS will NOT be banning those who can't keep their Halo 3 ODSTs in a tight wrap until official release.

Meet the men of Halo 3: ODST, about to be dropped "straight into hell." The team of UNSC soldiers meant to make their mark in the Halo universe's history prior to the events of Halo 3 are given time to shine in the spotlight not just as soldiers, but as characters with layers in this Desperate Measures trailer.

Back in February 2008, Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford said that he was directing a new project that was as big as a project can get. Somehow, that statement got turned into a rumor that Gearbox was working on a Halo game. Yeah, I'm not sure how that line of thinking started, but in any case, Microsoft has flat out denied it.

Bungie's Halo 3: ODST is one of the many playable games at the San Diego Comic-Con, and while not all of us were lucky enough to get some hands-on time, we can sit back and watch this video of two guys playing through the ODST multiplayer mode.
