Microsoft and Blueside'sintriguing prospect. Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom's development is officially over and it's now at Gold status. Blueside is now ready to have their latest work mass-produced and shipped to Microsoft Xbox 360 owners everywhere. The devs promise an epic action-RPG with vast lands to explore and plenty of monsters to dismember.

Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom developer Blueside has revealed that it will be diversifying its projects, starting with a new XBLA title and a game for an as-yet-unnamed handheld platform. A new large-scale game similar to the developer's earlier offerings is also in the works for next-gen platforms. Following the announcement of the launch dates for Blueside's Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom is a new trailer which features more gameplay clips and some cut scenes. The video demonstrates some of the weapons and environments the game will feature.

In the video we'll also see a demonstration of magic, where the hero just holds his sword up (still in its scabbard) and all of the enemies in his path just... explode. A cool one is where an enemy loses its head (literally), summoning up a fountain of blood.

Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom will be out in the US on January 8, on December 13 for Japan and New Zealand, and on February 1 in Europe.

Waiting until next year may seem to be too long a wait, but seeing Kingdom Under Fire's gameplay video tells us that this title is very much worth it. Blueside's Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom promises a truckload of content to eager gamers, with downloadable content to be released upon launch, a hefty 40 to 50 hours of gameplay, and six playable characters, two of which are still yet to be revealed.
