Finally. Some real gameplay footage of the highly controversial Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360, PC). It runs for seven minutes in total, enough for you to prove a case if you've ever tried British Parliamentary form of debating. But before we see if these footage would prove sufficient to sway the otherwise strong sentiments of hardcore L4D1(Xbox 360 and PC) fans against it, let's hear from Doug Lombardi, who's been making his rounds the past couple of days, explaining a whole lot about this sequel. This time, he talks about crossover possibilities between the two games.

Valve is staying true to their promise of continued support for Left 4 Dead with a DLC announcement slated for the end of summer. They also have something cooking for those looking forward to Left 4 Dead 2. More after the jump.

Since the death of Michael Jackson last week, the internet has come alive with tributes for the late King of Pop. One of them is this mod of Left 4 Dead (PC, Xbox 360), where the game music is replaced by some of Jacko's most popular songs. And when it comes to the Left 4 Dead, it doesn't get any cooler than Thriller.

Usually, when a sequel is announced for a successful game, people are happy. That's not exactly the case for the upcoming Left 4 Dead 2, though, as more than 16,000 players have signed an online petition that pledges to boycott the game. The boycotters have stated their belief that Left 4 Dead 2 "does not warrant a stand-alone, full-priced sequel" and should just be released as DLC for the original game instead. Valve's Chet Faliszek, however, says that it's too big to be DLC.

Usually, when a good title is announced to have a sequel, fans take it as good news. That's not the case apparently for Left 4 Dead's (Xbox 360, PC) community base. Over at Steam's Community Groups, some 15,000 members (and counting) are calling for a boycott of Left 4 Dead 2, and with a lot of reasons to back them up. Not getting why they're all so upset? Valve's Kerry Davis and Scott Dalton have posted a rather detailed look at the upcoming Survival Pack for Left 4 Dead (Xbox 360, PC), exploring a lot of the nuances found in the new Survival mode. The name itself triggers images of having to survive for as long as possible, but it's going to be much more than that.
