Major Nelson announced this on his blog. Alternative uniforms are available for teams of NCAA Football 2007 from Electronic Arts. And they're free! *does a happy dance*
The only thing that would make this better? Coke should have put in the polar bears as an alternate costume. Hehe. Wouldn't that be great? UofM versus the Coke polar bears. |

Looks like we will be seeing more downloadables from EA games now that the company has made the move to embrace the Xbox Live Marketplace tighter than before. EA's vice president of online commerce Chip Lange said that downloadable content is "a real creative opportunity that we're now starting to embrace."EA marks this move with the launch of premium packages for Madden NFL 07 and NCAA 07, and according to the company, there will be tons more in store for 360 users. Their first releases are downloadable stadiums for Madden NFL 07 worth 300 Microsoft points (GBP 2.55) each. Both Madden and NCAA will also have downloadable video strategy guides for advanced techniques, with each guide priced at 160 points (GBP 1.36). Lange says that while some would find the stadiums quite pricey, these will surely further enhance their football experience. Also, EA is planning to offer downloadable uniforms, modes, and other "out-of-the-box ideas" that the company is looking at. Lange also shares that pay-to-play online tournaments for their games is also a possibility, and that roster updates will still be free. As for the PS3 and Wii, we can expect that the company will also head in the same direction with post-release downloadable content. Lange says, "If post-release content becomes a key component of those platforms' release strategies, there's no company in the world better to address it than EA." Hopefully, more companies follow EA's example and start showing some love for the XBL. We'll keep you posted for more developments. |

School doesn't have a football team but the students are clamoring for a homecoming game? That was the dilemma Ringling and Central Florida's Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy were facing, and they managed to come up with one heck of a solution: grab a copy of EA's NCAA Football '07 and battle it out with each other in the world's first ever virtual homecoming football game to be held at Ringling's new Student Center exhibition hall on Saturday, October 7.We have no idea how both schools selected their respective players (quite possibly through an elimination process) or which teams they'll be using (random? team creation using D20s to roll stats?), but the game is supposed to have all the trimmings of a true homecoming game: pregame and halftime shows, giveaways, stadium-style refreshments, cheerleaders, and an appearance by a school mascot - in this case, the Ringling Armadillo. We guess that means the homecoming queen won't be virtual too. This game is part of the Ringling School’s homecoming weekend and year-long 75th anniversary celebration. If you're in the area and looking for something to do, why not drop by and watch? Remember, October 7 at the Ringling Student Center exhibition hall. The game starts 3:30 pm. Well, the weekly update about the top games played over Xbox Live for the week from Major Nelson are in and as a little treat to all the gamers wondering why the arcade titles were never on the list except for a few occasions, the good Major has made a list of the top 10 Xbox Live Arcade titles as well. The Arcade list is only for the full versions of the games and does not include the arcade demos played over live, which explains why Bankshot Billiards is even on the list (just kidding!). Call of Duty 2 remains the top dog of all 360 games played over Live and Dead Rising rises up from not even being on last week's list to coming in second place. The number one played Xbox Live Arcade title is Pac-Man so it looks like gobbling up power pellets can beat E-Honda's slapping move enough to put Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting in second place. The full list of the top ten 360 games and XBLA titles is as follows: Xbox 360 Top Live Games

The weekly list of the most played games over Xbox Live went out today
thanks to Major Nelson and the list seems to be maintaining the top 3
with Call of Duty 2, being played most of the Xbox 360 games, followed
by G.R.A.W. and then Chromehounds. NCAA 07 overtook Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement that Final Fantasy XI has finally received achievements might have helped it overcome both BFMC
and LoTR: BFME II. Once again Halo 2 is still the top game played over
Xbox Live altogether but below is the full list of the top ten Xbox 360
games played over Live this week.

We know we've given you loads of screenshots, news about who the cover boy is for this potentially popular game, and even live play video from E3; but we know those won't ever be enough to satisfy your craving for EA's NCAA Football 07.The game has so many interesting features which include the Momentum System (this will greatly affect your game performance), Back to School (for training your character through studying, practice and attending social events), and the Spring Game which will be the evaluation of the character's performance for the annual spring games, to name a few. Unfortunately, the game won't be released until next week (given there will be no delays), which is okay if you're still saving up for the game. But we'll indulge you anyway. Here are some gameplay movies of EA's NCAA Football 07. Download: [NCAA Football 07 Gameplay Movie 24] Download: [NCAA Football 07 Gameplay Movie 25] Download: [NCAA Football 07 Gameplay Movie 26] |

For those of you out there that have been waiting to get your hands on NCAA Football 07, a demo has been released to tide you over until the actual game is released next week on July 18th. The demo weighs in at 1.05GB, so you might have to clear some old demos out of your hard drive. The demo lets you play as Florida vs. Florida State in The Swamp. When the game is released you'll be able to battle your biggest rival or play the first-ever BCS National Championship Game in Dynasty Mode with complete detail — from the authenticity of the stadiums, mascots, and marching bands, to the true-to-life look and feel of the players on the field. NCAA Football 07 delivers the most realistic college football experience ever. So if you wanted to try out the other EA football game go ahead and check the demo out on the Marketplace. |
