Remember Oscar? The dog that chewed his master's Xbox 360 controller all the way into buying 60 bucks worth of Microsoft points? Well, word got around, and Microsoft found the story so amusing that they're giving the dog a refund, a Gamertag, and a few more goodies to chew on.

After losing three consecutive games of FIFA 2008 (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, DS) to his brother and a friend, 17-year-old James Callaghan nearly emptied a bottle of vodka, armed himself with an axe and a long-bladed knife, and went on a drunken rampage around the neighborhood that left an unfortunate 65-year-old widow dead.

Oscar is a lovable year-old Lab-Hound mix with a knack for chewing his master's stuff. He's chewed them all - pillows, slippers, undies, candles, bottles - even his master Greg's Xbox 360 controller. With his latest chew toy, however, Oscar gnawed his way into turning his master's console on and managed to buy his master 5,000 Microsoft points. No biggie, Greg didn't mind - it gave him a chance to go for a few things he's been putting off.

To this day, Yasunori Mitsuda's work remains among the best music known to gaming. In case you didn't know, Mitsuda's the guy behind the accompaniment of Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. Now, the crew of OverClocked ReMix pays tribute to the composer with the re-imagination of his work on Xenogears.

This has got to be in the upper brackets of the "Weirdest Comebacks of All Time" list. Bayonetta (PS3 and Xbox 360) designer  Hideki Kimeya pulled a WTH moment in an interview when he proclaimed that, "I am bald, but I am not gay."

The ratings from ESRB for games Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360, PC) and Kamen Rider are out, and needless to say, they've gone the unconventional route of providing rating descriptions with a whole lot of italics for emphasis, and ellipses for dramatic pauses.

I don't mean "out of this world" as a compliment, here. It's just fact. The movie based on the King of Fighters franchise is so detached from the game's own story that they had to set it IN A DIFFERENT DIMENSION.
