Let's accept the fact that in the end we're all at the mercy of Mother Nature and that she'll pwn us anytime she wants. This can include letting bears who can turn a pink brassiere and a moose's antlers into a lethal slingshot, armed with either a smelly skunk or a grouchy squirrel with lots of acorns to spare, run lose in the wild. So, we thought it best that you learn to recognize these situations and know how to get out of them. And who better to learn from than the master of wildlife mischief himself - Boog the bear from Open Season! Just follow this 'Open Season Guide to Surviving the Wilderness for Bears' lessons, and up your chances on not being the butt of jokes of the animal kingdom. Open Season is the game based on the Sony Pictures Animation's CG animated film of the same name in which a rowdy brood of forest animals turn the tables on a bunch of unsuspecting hunters. When a domesticated grizzly named Boog gets lured into leaving the creature comforts of home by a fast-talking mule deer named Elliot, he finds himself lost in the woods just three days before hunting season. Forced to "rough it" in the great outdoors, Boog goes native, rallying all the forest animals to take back their home and send the hunters packing. The Open Season video game will allow player to relive the movie experience by playing as Boog and Elliot. The Team over at Achieve360Points got their hands on the achievement list for the upcoming game. Open Season has 46 Achievements that add up to the usual retail amount of 1000 gamerpoints. Right now 32 of the game's achievements are still not known as they are secret achievements, but the ones that are known range from beating the game to collecting stuff just like in most platformers. The game will be shipping on September 19th so until then go ahead and check out the achievement list with the known achievements below:

As you may have guessed, OS is a game that takes the whole macho big-game hunter scenario and turns it on its head, as predator becomes prey and the animals start fighting back. A pet grizzly (!) named Boog is lured away from his comfy home by a double-talking mule deer named Elliot. Before long, Boog is hopelessly lost, forced to survive like his wild relatives. As if this is not bad enough, its hunting season. To keep his hide from becoming a rug, Boog must rally all the animals in the forest against the armed human invaders. The game, scheduled to ship in September about the same time the movie hits theatres, allows the gamer to play as Boog or Elliot, take wild virtual joyrides shooting rapids in a floating outhouse (sure to be a hit with the middle-school set), and access an arsenal of deadly weapons - including skunk bombs and acorn-firing squirrels. One can play alone, or with up to three other gamers. An E-10 rating is expected. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As you have read the announcement, the upcoming animated movie, Open Season, will have a tie-in video game created by Ubisoft which brought us great games such as Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell and King Kong. You play the protagonists in the movie Boog, a grizzly bear, and Elliot, a deer, as you evade hunters by using "foresty" weapons like skunk bombs. There will also be a four-player minigame multiplayer mode which makes this a potential party game. Basing from the screenshots, the game looks very funny and at the same time interesting to play but I sure hope that the difficulty of this game isn't too easy like other kiddy-themed movie-tie-in platformers. |
