The DLC pack that enables versus mode for Resident Evil 5 apparently had a release date for Japan, which really doesn't matter now because it's been delayed. And you know what happens if something gets delayed in Japan. Everyone else has to wait even longer.

So the latest NPD results are out. Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg got a head start and already snuck in some stink bombs on the arena. Well, today, we get to hear more reactions on February's sales figures, this time from Sony, Nintendo, and (again) Microsoft. This via Gamespot.

How many Resident Evil games have there been now? Around eight in the main series and countless others in spin-offs, yeah? Better prepare yourself. Capcom says that all of that was only just "act one" of the Resident Evil saga.

Happy Friday the 13th! As such, it's also Happy Resident Evil 5 day! The game's out and about, lurking around retail shelves, and for some people, there seems to be some triskaidekaphobia* going on. See, apparently, people are lashing out at Capcom for charging for DLC which supposedly just unlocks existing on-disc content. Your best co-op partner can also be your worst enemy. Capcom's sent out a last minute press release announcing a future DLC pack for Resident Evil 5 that will feature Versus mode, pitting players against each other.

The Resident Evil series has been known for unlockable alternate costumes for its playable characters. The latest in the franchise is no exception. Resident Evil 5 will be getting unlockable attires. Here we have screencaps from BioHazard 5, showing Sheva's unlockable attire. Whoever took these screenshots sure had some creative angles, making sure that we got all our bases covered (figuratively).

The release of Resident Evil 5 is looming, but the issue of the game being racist has yet to die down. Stepping into the scene is Glenn Bowman, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Anthropology at the University of Kent, who says that the game isn't racist at all. Always good to have a professional third-party opinion.

Following a street broken Killzone 2, we now hear of Resident Evil 5 also getting leaked out of retailers in Dubai prior to its release date. While everyone else gets the game on March 13 (another Friday the 13th, mind you), lucky folks in Dubai can already cash in on a copy of RE5 in certain stores.

Can't say I didn't see this one coming. Resident Evil 5 for the Xbox 360 has been leaked on torrent sites. Must be rough for Capcom - it was only last month when Street Fighter IV was also leaked. How many leaked games has that been for the console? I lost count.

Resident Evil 5 may mark the end of an era. Producer Jun Takeuchi says that the game is "the last of its kind" and that "a reboot is in order" for Resident Evil 6. Completely new gameplay, or completely new story? Will we at least finally be able to shoot while mobile?
