Square Enix has some making up to do to Star Ocean fans in Europe. Since Star Ocean: The Last Hope is getting released in the territory months after its February launch in Japan and North America, they've cooked something up to sweeten the deal a little.

Never mind the rumored PS3 version of Star Ocean: The Last Hope -- for now. More immediate is the announcement of Square Enix on the release date of the game for Europe and other PAL territories. The date's been set, now all we have to do is start the countdown.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope's release date has been moved! Don't worry though, the move is not necessarily a delay. In fact, it's been moved up eight days earlier. Yep, Square Enix apparently wanted to give you an earlier treat and so has bounced up the date to February 24, 2009 for the North American Xbox 360 fans.

For over a year now, it's been the same old story in Famitsu's Most Wanted list: Japanese gamers who took part in their polls voted Final Fantasy XIII as the most anticipated title.
