Three days until the release of TimeShift (PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), don't you wish you can make time go faster right now? But since you don't have a suit that can do that, you'll just have to wait until the game comes out just like everyone else. 'Til then, here are three new videos for TimeShift, chronicling the development of the game and its story.
The first video of the "TimeShift Chronicles" brings us into the very beginnings of the game and how it all started. The second installment shows how the team fared when they traveled to Russia when they needed to know more about the country for the game. The third video of the TimeShift Chronicles tells the story of the game and the multiplayer features it sports. Check out the full article for all three videos. |

We played the demo and we loved it; just imagine our excitement now that Sierra Entertainment announced TimeShift has gone gold and is ready for shipment. October 30 marks the highly anticipated release of the title developed by Saber Interactive to the Microsoft Xbox 360 and PC, while the Sony PlayStation 3 version is expected to appear on shelves this December.Apart from futuristic weapons, legions of enemy soldiers, and next-gen graphics that are present in most first-person shooters of late, TimeShift gives players the ability to control time. Your usual Hollywood-esque run-and-gun experience will be littered with puzzles that can be solved by slowing, stopping, or even reversing time. In battle, making things go slow proves to be a lot more effective than going bullet time since you still maintain normal speed while everything lags behind. When you freeze enemies on their tracks, it's also possible to steal their weapons and knock them out before they know what hit them. We can't even begin to enumerate the many ways to exploit time reversal, but it sure is cool to see things unwind while you're unaffected. Buy: [TimeShift (Xbox 360)] Buy: [TimeShift (PC)] |

Here's the latest advertisement video for Sierra Entertainment's TimeShift. The title will be released this coming October 30 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC platforms. Owners of Microsoft's console is currently enjoying a brief advantage over the other builds as a demo was recently available over at Xbox Live.
Anyway, TimeShift is not your typical FPS as the developers added another dimension to the game. Like its name suggests, players has the option to manipulate the time by slowing it down, stopping, or even rewinding it to go back to the past and correct past mistakes. If used wisely, this power will really work to your advantage. This particular video clip features a robbery in a convenience store. Watch carefully how the time-bending elements in TimeShift were used in this commercial. It will be useful to you when you finally get your hands on the game, though we wish we could use it in the real world as well. Enjoy! |

Messing around with time is fun. Not only does it give you an unfair edge on your opponents in a firefight - specifically slowing time down so that you can pretty much aim and fire at your leisure - but it also gives you a second chance to lob that grenade where it'd actually do some damage, instead of bouncing it off a wall and into yourself.
Timeshift, Sierra Entertainment's latest FPS for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC lets us do that in style, as seen in this demo gameplay video of the Xbox 360 version. In this gameplay video, we see one of the game's more time-exploitive features in action - specifically, turning back the events that have already occurred so you have a second shot at things, such as throwing a grenade. It's loads of fun, as you see the damage done to the environment around you slowly get wiped out of existence, as if someone hit the 'undo' button - ready for you to wreak havoc upon a clean slate once more. |

For those of us who have yet to download the demo of the time-warping FPS, Sierra Entertainment's Timeshift (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) that recently became available in Xbox Live, here's an opportunity to see what you're missing: a very wicked-looking video of the game in action, peppered judiciously with sadistic utilization of your time-bending abilities.
In this gameplay video update, we see the player using his ability to control time the way it should be used (and neglected to be used in popular media such as movies and books). Namely, stopping time, and then shooting the everliving crap out of your enemies. While it may be unsporting to walk up to an opponent, slow down time and then take their weapons away - tearing off their limbs in the process - it certainly works in your favor, and you survive in the bullet-riddled war zone for a few moments longer. All's fair in love and war, eh? For further details, you can check out our first impressions of the demo itself. Timeshift is a fresh take on the usual point-and-shoot action of FPS titles, and it certainly delivers. Enjoy the video! |

Before anyone tries to stop or reverse time, we secured Sierra Entertainment's Timeshift's Xbox 360 demo that recently went live. The effort rewarded us with topnotch First Person Shooter action, puzzle solving, and flying limbs. If run-and-gun is becoming too stale for your tastes, then look no further. Our protagonist, coming from the distant future ruled by a mad dictator, is equipped with an equally futuristic suit that can mess with time. In a game like Timeshift where players get plenty of abilities, intuitive controls are heaven sent. Just a few minutes in and we were already manipulating time like Einstein's biggest nightmare. After a brief intro cutscene, enemies were thrown at us non-stop with only a trusty carbine to defend ourselves. Fortunately, ample use of time-defying feats made combat easier. Using an ability depletes time energy, but the gauge fills up automatically. Read more after the jump! |

Some people would love to go back in time, but that's definitely a "no" for Xbox 360 owners anticipating Sierra Entertainment's time-manipulating first-person shooter. If you drop by XBL today, you'll find a demo for Timeshift (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) - something you would've been waiting for if we were a few days back. There's enough time before the game's October 30 release on Xbox 360 and PC (PS3 version not dated yet), but grabbing the chance to get a taste of chronic action now is not a bad idea. With the ability to stop, reverse, or slow down time, Timeshift promises a fresh FPS experience with puzzle-solving elements that provide breathing space in the middle of time-defying mayhem. |
