Top Spin 3 now gold, says 2K Sports - Image 12K Sports, the folks who are gearing up a new hockey game for the Wii, has also timely announced the master copy release of Top Spin 3 to mass production. The tennis simulator has gone gold for the DS, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360, and soon enough, tennis fans would be able to create their own avatar and grand slam against the likes of Sharapova and Federer. ImageMetrics Facial Animation to be used For UT3, GTA IV - Image 1In order to bring more life to games such as Top Spin 3, Unreal Tournament 3, Midnight Club Los Angeles and Grand Theft Auto IV, the respective game developers tapped ImageMetrics to craft the games' facial animation.

2K Sports logo - Image 12K Sports, publisher of giant sports titles announced a new tennis game to hit to hit the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. In the spirit of All-Pro Football 2K8NHL 2K8 and other much anticipated high quality titles, Top Spin 3 promises to break grounds and take the genre to the next level.

The upcoming game aims to immerse players in a visually and physically realistic tennis experience using next generation technology, gameplay and graphics. Features include online rankings, highly customizable characters with evolutionary player visuals. 2K president Christoph Hartmann was quoted saying:

This game transcends the boundaries of what has previously been achieved in the acclaimed Top Spin franchise by ensuring every detail is accurate, from the cloud cover to lighting, from sweat to dirt on clothing, to every drop shot, slice, lob and backhand.

Top Spin 3 is slated for release next spring. We don't know much yet, but you can check out their official site by clicking on the Read link below. We'll keep you posted on anything new, so watch this space.
