Activision has announced a game tie-in for the upcoming movie X-Men: The Last Stand. The title currently sports the working title of X-Men: The Official Movie Game, and is scheduled for a May shipping date for the Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, PC, GameCube, PS2, Xbox and GBA.Set between the events of the 2003 hit X2: X-Men United and Last Stand, which is due in theaters May 26, X-Men: The Official Movie Game is an actioner that lets players control three members of the titular superhero team. As the teleportin' German, frosty Yankee Iceman, or Adamantium-blade-totin' Canadian Wolverine, players will battle the forces of HYDRA, an evil pan-continential criminal organization featured in many X-Men comic books. The game will also explain why Nightcrawler, one of the most popular X-Men, will not be appearing in the upcoming feature film.
