Nyko's SpeakerCom for the original Xbox Live was a controller-mounted speaker and microphone for voice chat, and although muting was always a problem with it, Nyko's product was still a cool accessory to at least try out.
Over two years later, Joytech released an Xbox 360 device that looks very similar to the old Xbox model, except this one has the much desired mute option! Known as the NEOCOMMUNICATOR, this phone-type device removed the need for a headset by offering an integrated speaker and microphone right into the controller. This interesting looking device is compatible with all Xbox 360 controllers, but pricing information has yet to be revealed. |

We've received six new images from the Xbox 360's first Japanese RPG currently in the works by From Software and Ubisoft. Taking control of Atsuma, you must use Golem support characters to close the seal that revived the fierce Devil Golem. This game features over 100 unique Golems that can be assembled in a variety of ways from various combinations of ingredient items. Characters can be customized using experience points gained in battle, and as the game progresses, players will need to master Atsuma's fighting and magical abilities in order to survive. Enchanted Arms is planned for release on August 29th in the US.

Gamespot managed to participate in an exclusive Xbox 360 hands-on of The Godfather, and surprisingly enough, this game does look better since the last time we've seen it. The character models are a lot more defined, and even the interior designs have been enhanced. Although this game is far from perfect, the developers seem to be putting some more work into the Xbox 360 version. Aside from the visual improvements, 360 owners can look forward to persistent facial damage, dynamic weather effects, more side missions, and plenty of new vehicles as well. Best of all, EA plans to release downloadable content over the Xbox Live Marketplace, so we have a lot to look forward to this time around.

We have more screenshots as well as some new artwork from the FPS known as Parabellum. Developed by ACONY, this title will utilize the Unreal Engine 3 to create high-end graphics for a multiplayer FPS on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The plot of this game revolves around some sort of terrorist threat located within New York; we know it sucks, but that's all the info we have at this time. As you can see from these screens, Parabellum is definitely delivering impressive visuals, but we'll have to wait until the second half of 2007 to see what this title has to offer.

Ubisoft has presented us with three new images of their highly anticipated tactical shooter Rainbow Six: Vegas. These images show off squads storming a room, dropping in from a helicopter, and scaling the side of a building. This game features a redesigned leader control method that will allow gamers to issue a variety of context-specific commands. The enhanced computer AI will certainly add for a better challenge, and the multiplayer component will surely be a blast. Hopefully this game will live up to the Tom Clancy name upon its release on November 7th.

A trailer for Tenchu Senran found its way onto the Japanese Xbox Live Marketplace. Although there isn't a whole lot of gameplay footage included, it's still a cool video to check out if you've been keeping an eye on this series. Luckily, we can deliver this video to you in case you don't have a Japanese live account. For those of you who don't know, Tenchu Senran is the eighth game in the Tenchu series being developed by From Software. This release lets gamers create their own ninja and then build him up with skills as the game progresses. Download: [Tenchu Senran Trailer] |

There have been plenty of rumors circulating as to whether or not Dead Rising would be region free and if certain violent aspects would have to be cut to comply with videogame rating boards. Today, Capcom has announced that the PAL (Europe) version of Dead Rising will not be altered at all from its NTSC counterpart. This is a relief considering how Microsoft's Ninja Gaiden had several animation sequences removed. Dead Rising is already available in the USA, and is planned for release on September 8th in Europe. |

A member of the CheapAssGamer forums noticed that another member on his friends list was last seen playing a demo for F.E.A.R. on the Xbox 360, and no such demo has been seen or announced for the rest of the 360 gaming community. Later on in the thread, the member described that he was able to get a hold of the demo disc at work. He also mentioned that the demo will be enclosed within the next issue of OXM to be released next month. Now we can't confirm this statement outright, but it's pretty convincing to assume that a demo for F.E.A.R. will in fact be included in next month's OXM magazine. (And we certainly would want this to be true.) |
