By now, most of you have probably purchased Load Inc.'s offering for the Xbox Live, Mad Tracks. For those of you who do not know, this much awaited title has been set to be available in Xbox Live worldwide (with the exception of Korea) today. The fun wouldn't stop there as it would also have expansion packs (Bravo and Encore) which would carry 15 more races and mini-games. From the looks of it, Mad Tracks was surely worth the wait.
A few days back, we hooked you up with some of the game's car models and other tidbits. Today, we found a GameTrailers video of Mad Tracks dubbed as the Beastie Balls gameplay. So for those of you who are still on the fence about getting this game, we could only hope that this video could help you decide. |

Back in October, we shared with you the not-so-good news that the Halo movie was put on hold after it failed to seal a movie franchise deal with 20th Century Fox and Universal Pictures. After this development, not much has been said about the planned movie which is supposed to be directed by Neill Blomkamp (who directed Alive in Joburg). But recently, Peter Jackson (the movie's would-be producer) talked to Stuff website about it.Jackson believes that since Halo 3 is going to be released later this year, 20th Century Fox and Universal Pictures would again be interested with the movie project. If that's the case, then Halo 3 sure does have a lot of weight on its shoulders since analysts also believe that the game's sales performance would bring Microsoft's Xbox Division out of constant losses. The Lord of the Rings director also said that he and partner Fran Walsh will only choose to be involved with the Halo movie project if Blomkamp would be the guy calling the shots. Jackson said, "We wouldn't want to do it with anybody else. It'll be Neill's call". Well, that's all we have for now but we'll surely give you updates about this as soon as we get more info. For now, you're free to speculate if the movie would push through or be forever shelved. |

After Sony's Kim Nguyen divulged that the PS3 marketing campaign is going to be renewed to cater to the usual non-gamers like Mom and Dad, Microsoft seems to be gearing towards the same thing basing from what Shane Kim said. According to a Reuters report, the Microsoft Game Studios honcho is looking towards giving the Xbox 360 a "kinder, gentler face".He mentioned that they are currently working on two previously unannounced games which are aimed beyond the hardcore fans. In other words, Microsoft is also looking for ways to cater to casual gamers who have been sweating it out with the Nintendo Wii. This was Shane Kim's words: We have a couple games that have not been announced...I will tell you that they target a broader market. We think it's very important this holiday, and to winning this generation, to expand beyond our core audience. The fact is that we are not at a mass-market price point...We have that work to do... to make us more palatable to moms and stuff. |

Checking out Major Nelson's blog, we got our hands on the Xbox Live Activity for the week of April 30. And yes, you guessed it, Gears of War is still on top and with the release of the "Hidden Front" Map Pack, we bet that it will continue to lord over the charts until a certain beta for a certain game is released, perhaps?Over at the arcade titles category, Zen Studios' Pinball FX gets the top spot. After hitting the Xbox Live Arcade last April 25, it's rise to the top is a bit surprising and fast. Anyhow, here's the full list of the top Live titles for the week of April 30. Checking out Australian gaming website, mygen, they have posted some scans of Ubisoft's alleged Xbox 360 exclusive, Splinter Cell: Conviction.
